A creative decoration is a fundamental piece in a party and besides the song, drinks and food it can transform a party in a successful one…. or in a total disappointment. But you don’t have to worry. You don’t need to waste lots of money in a nice decoration or hire a specialized person to do that. You can make your own party decoration using creative ideas and cheap materials in it. Here are some cool ideas using old CD´s to decorate your party.
All good parties must have a disco ball in it to give an amazing and stylish look. As it reflects light directed at it in many directions it produces an incredible effect in the room that can cheer up even the most bored guests! Disco balls are usually made by hundreds of small pieces of mirror fixed in a spherical surface but you can make your own using old CD´s since they have a reflective surface too. First you need to cut your old CD´s in small squares (lots of them) trying to give them the same size. Diving the CD in hot water can make it easier to be cut! Glue the small pieces of CD´s in a Styrofoam ball (choose the best size for you) trying to keep a line and joying the pieces close to each other. Use instant glue because the hot one (the one is being used in the picture) will melt the Styrofoam ball! Now it´s only use a fishing wire to fix it in a high place in the center of your party room and dance a lot!

Glasses and bottles around every corner of the room is a common view when you are throwing up a party but you can avoid those annoying marks that they let in your furniture using coasters. However, if you don’t have enough of them to all your guests or if your coasters are not fancy enough you can create new ones using old CD´s. Use your creativity to decorate the CD surface, you can glue a beautiful paper on it or use other materials as rope, wool, cloth or cork. If you are good at painting you can use a bit of paint on them to create a different and unique print.

A good party has a good lighting. Neither too much light nor too dark, the correct illumination will bring a mysterious and charming look to the room. You can create a nice effect using old CD´s to customize your chandelier or create fashion lamps. Use small rings to link one CD to the other one and make a row with four or five of them. Then use the same rings to link the row to your chandelier. You can also create a new one gluing some CD´s in a paper ball lantern or linking them one to other until you get a round shape! A cool idea for a lamp is making a case with 8 CD´s (1 for base, 4 for sides and 3 for covering). Put small Christmas lights inside it to give a colorful and nice look.

Decorating party with CD´s is a creative and cheap way. You can choose a corner of the room and glue some CD´s along the wall to create a nice effect. If you don´t want to glue you can make a curtain with fishing line and hang it in front of a wall or even in the entrance door! The lights give a nice effect reflecting in the CD´s and this will create an amazing outcome.
